Longing

This has been one of those weekends that you wish could just keep going. When Sunday night rolls around you start feeling sad that you have to start the same old routine tomorrow of cooking and cleaning and doing laundry, etc. We didn't do anything particularly exciting. It was just nice to be together as a family. Andrew and I watched movies while the kids were napping and played games after the kids went to bed. We went to Cabelas and Toys R Us just to look around and get ideas for Christmas. We wanted to see which toys got the boys really excited and Andrew wanted to see what "toys" got him really excited (Cabelas!).
Noah really wants a Thomas Train set and I want to get him a Leap Pad. Drew is a mystery but he loves puppies and I rediscovered Pound Puppies at Toys R Us. I remember them from when I was young. They have ones that bark and wag their tales. They are adorable. I am really looking forward to the Holidays. I think even more this year because we are in a new place and still don't know a lot of people. I feel homesick more and long to be with the ones I love.
Here are a couple more pictures of our new casa!
This is probably our favorite thing about our house. We love our backyard!

Hi Amber-

I love the pictures of your house! It looks so awesome. Jerry and I were just saying this weekend we wish you guys were here so we could hang out. We miss you! What are your boys being for Halloween? I miss our costume swap! Did you get any leads on the leap pad? I want to get Landon one of those as well. Give me a call when you can....I would love to chat. Kathryn

wow, your yard looks huge! I'm homesick too. Glad we can keep in touch so easily these days with friends and family though. It sure helps.

Hi Amber,
I know the "longing" feeling. There has been more than one Monday morning when I have given John a kiss off to work and said "thanks for a great weekend." Now I don't always kiss him before work (I should I know but I am rushing around sometimes). But on those mornings I feel a renewed love, like we are doing the h.s. porch scene or something.
Thank heaven for weekends.
