I can't believe it is already 2008! Christmas flew by. We had a great time in Rexburg with our Wolford family. The boys were really fun on Christmas. Noah kept saying to me all day that he liked his presents. The day after Christmas when he woke up he asked me if Santa had come again! I told him he only comes once a year, thankfully! Drew was a little overwhelmed and got behind on his unwrapping so his big brother was happy to help! The day after Christmas we were able to go through the Rexburg temple. It was so fun to see the finished product with all of its furnishings and beautiful artwork. It is a beautiful temple and we feel so blessed that we were able to be a part of it.
On the 27th we headed to Tooele to do some work on our house that we are trying to sell. It ended up being a lot more work than we expected but it looks awesome. Hopefully some lucky buyer will come along and love it as much as we do. I definitely did enough painting to last me the rest of the year! Andrew and I were soooo grateful for the help from our brother-in-law, Joseph who came down with us from Idaho and did a lot of work. We also want to thank my parents and Paul and Becky for their help with our boys. We couldn't have done it without your help. We love you all so much and think you are the greatest!
We were so happy to get home on the 31st. It felt like we had been gone forever. We were all hammered and have enjoyed being in the comfort of our own home and back into somewhat of a routine. I haven't been feeling well so I try to get one chore done a day and slowly the house is coming back together! I am looking forward to doing some deep cleaning and organizing as soon as I am feeling a little better. I love the beginning of a new year. It is a fresh start for everything and I think 2008 is going to be a good year.
Since being home my biggest resolution was to get Noah potty trained. For the past two days I have cleaned up one accident after another, which I wouldn't suggest when you are experiencing morning sickness! He has been really cooperative and he will sit on the toilet but he says "it's not working." I don't think he is making the connection between feeling the urge and going. I think we will try again next month!
I think all of our electronics pooped out at the same time. Our video camera stopped working and our computer won't read our digital camera. I don't know what is happening but hopefully I can get it fixed so that I can post some pictures! Have a great weekend!

You are wonder woman really! And with morning sickness too! It would have been so nice to see you! Next time!
So will you and Andrew stay in Idaho for a while now that the temple is finnished?
Happy New Year!
Holy Cow...when I was pregnant with Carter and I was sick, man, nothing would get done for weeks! Hopefully you feel better soon!
Way to kick off your new year!
Sounds like you guys had a great time. Hang in there with the morning sickness. I wish I was closer so I could help!
Amanda Reynolds gave me this tip:
Give Noah a salty snack like pretzels while he's sitting on the potty. Then have water or juice available for him to drink while he's sitting there too. read lots of books & try to get him to stay put & eventually he'll pee....then he'll be able to start recognizing the feeling.
Good luck....congratulations about the pregnancy, by the way. That's so exciting!
I am sorry to bring this up, but as a note of empathy- one of Desi's diapers did drive me to puking this pregnancy, which is very rare for me. So sorry.
And also, I tried potty training her several months ago and gave up- so that's ok too. But now we are back at it and she's doing pretty well.
Hey Amber, I found your link through Melissa's. Glad you are back home and safe! I think you forgot to mention to me that you were pregnant! Congrats :)
I am potty training Ryder as well and after spending a couple hundred dollars on pull-ups I finally bought some vinyl pants from Wal-Mart to just put over his undies. You should give it a try.
Talk to you soon!
Good luck on potty training! My sister stayed home for nearly a week and took her little boy to the potty every 20 minutes or so while encouraging him to drink a lot. Hang in there he'll get it eventually, they all do.
