Don't Cry for Me Argentina

The weekend sure flew by. On Friday I went downtown and met Andrew for lunch. We went to Julia Davis Park which is a beautiful park right in downtown Boise. It has a rose garden and a couple of museums. I brought my camera and took it out to snap a few pictures of the boys and realized the batteries were dead. That is how my picture taking luck usually goes!

Friday night we attempted a family campout in our backyard. Andrew made a yummy dinner in the dutch oven and then he and Noah started the night sleeping in the tent. I say "started" because that is about as far as it got. It ended at about 2:00 a.m. with a flat air mattress. That tells you how old we are getting. I didn't even want to sleep in the tent and Andrew had to bail when the air mattress went flat! Noah thought it was great and didn't seem too offended by the fact that he woke up in his bed. It was a good thing they came in because it began raining shortly after they did.

On Saturday Andrew and I were able to go to the temple. It was a sweet experience for me because the Boise temple is the same layout as the Argentina temple. When I walked into the ordinance room, I felt tears welling. All of these memories came flooding in. It is amazing how after 7 years, I still feel a deep love and yearning for Argentina.

Saturday night we watched the neighbors' kids while they went to the temple and we had such a good time. We played tag in the backyard and charades. Andrew pulled out all of the thespian skills he has. It was a sight to behold! We also watched a movie and ate rootbeer floats and ended the night with a game of Monopoly. Apparently it was a big hit with the kids because now they want to come over every day!

So I am really digging this "table trough" that a friend in Rexburg made me. It makes for a nice piece of decor that can be changed with the seasons. It was fun to put out our fall decor yesterday. I love the colors and smells of fall. It makes my house feel so homey! Is that a word?
