Do you ever have days where you feel like all you say to your kids is "Okay, in a minute?" Pretty soon the minutes turn into hours and you haven't done anything with them. I have some OCD behaviors when it comes to housework and lately I seem to spend so much time on the computer; checking emails, reading blogs, surfing the net for craft ideas, activity ideas, checking my bank account balance, doing research for a paper, etc. At the end of the day I feel guilty for not spending enough time with my kids. I have once again come to the realization that I need to take control of my life instead of letting it take control of me. I wrote myself a little schedule and it has made a huge difference in my week.
6:30 - Shower and read scriptures
7:30 - Breakfast/dishes & one load of laundry
8:30 - Dress boys, make beds, daily chore
9:30 - Errands
11:30 - Lunch
12:00 - Storytime, Pre-school time, playtime
2:00 - Naps and Amber time
4:00 - Dinner prep
Evenings: Dinner, Gym and family time
Each day doesn't go exactly according to this schedule but it has definitely helped to have something to follow. It helps me to stay focused and to make sure I am getting things done that I would like to and more importantly, spending quality time with my boys.
After lunch today we played with playdough. Drew didn't really know what to do with his. He just wanted to put it in his mouth! Noah made handprints but isn't so sure of himself with the playdough. He wanted to just tell me what to make. We made a spider, Mac, Mater, and a temple with angel Moroni on top.

That's such a good idea. Organizing your time. I think I'll have to try getting the kids into a routine now that we're settling down.
