Today is my dad's 57th Birthday so I dedicate this post to him. Here are some reasons why I think my dad is the greatest!
- He is very tenderhearted. By looking at my dad and listening to him speak you wouldn't think he was a softy. He is a manly man with a manly voice but he is put to tears before any of us. Thanks to him we are all boobs!
- He is very generous. One of my greatest memories growing up is him coming home and putting a package together to take to a homeless man whom he saw walking down the street. He gave him some of his boots and clothes, he made him sandwiches and gave him some money. That was just one of many instances and I am sure that he has done a lot that none of us even know about because he doesn't like to boast.
- He has one of the greatest chuckles of all time. There is nothing better than watching a funny movie with my dad because you laugh more at him than at the movie!
- He is young at heart. My dad recently had his knee replaced because of an injury that he sustained while snowmobiling. He was probably trying to climb a tall mountain or jump off of a cornice!
- He never complains. My dad got polio when he was two years old and has had a limp leg ever since. He hasn't been able to play sports, which are his passion or do anything really physical. His leg has given him a lot of problems but I have never once hear him complain about it! That has been a great example to me.
- He gives sound advice. The older I get, the more I turn to my dad for advice. I trust him implicitly and would probably do anything he told me to!
- He loves his family. I know that he would do anything for me. As a daughter, that means a lot!
Happy Birthday Dad. I sure love you!

You made me cry! Luckily I don't have eye makeup on, I am still packing for our Trip! Thanks for such a positive start to my day!
