For Christmas, some dear friends gave us a Utah Temples Passport. It looks just like a real passport book with a page for each of the 12 temples in Utah. When you visit the temple you put a sticker on the page and write about your experience. We thought this would be a wonderful goal for our family this year. On Sunday afternoon we packed up some snacks and headed to Provo. We sang I Love to See the Temple and
I Hope They Call Me On a Mission all the way there! It was a really cold day and the boys didn't bring jackets, of course, but I am so glad we went. The boys had never seen the Provo Temple up close before and there were a ton of missionaries there. It was so fun to see them all dressed up in their dark suits and ties and dresses! A cute companionship of sisters offered to take our picture. It was fun to drive by and see the MTC as well. It brought a lot of discussion and questions from the boys about missions. I am grateful that Andrew and I were both able to serve missions and that their grandparents are on a mission right now. They know that missions are important to our family because it is a commandment from Heavenly Father. I hope that they continue to have the desire to serve and that their testimonies will grow and be firm so that they have the desire to share them with others. I have to admit that I got all teared up when I pictured myself dropping each one of my 4 boys off at the MTC some day! It is so amazing to think that we have 12 temples in the little state of Utah. It is such a blessing and I hope that I never take it for granted.

what a fun idea! Also, I love how creative your boys are with the cowboys ;-) Gotta love little boys!
Amber, what a wonderful idea! I hope that they will always love the temples and want to go there someday, just like the primary song says.
